A staple of fly fishing on the East, The Golden Retriever Fly is a go to for many anglers. Known as an effective streamer for both smallmouth bass and trout, making it a necessity to have a few in your box. The weight of the fly allows it to cut through the water column in deep, fast water. On a recent smallmouth trip the Golden Retriever proved to be the top dog fly for the weekend. Tie them and enjoy!
